360 Racing conducted a record-only capabilities test as part of an exploration project for future applications of its proprietary 720-degree filming technology.
“Richmond provided an excellent test bed in the development of our 720-degree technology,” said David Knise, executive vice president, 360 Racing. “There is no better environment for the development of our second-screen, user-controlled technology than race cars traveling at over 150 mph and we applaud NASCAR for the opportunity to use Richmond as a testbed.”
The company currently is partnering with the FIA Formula E Championship by showcasing its industry-leading 720-degree, second screen technology aboard the first all-electric single-seater race car allowing consumers and motor sports fans their first official “hands-on” experience.
Additional testing will be announced at future dates.
